Parish Finance Council Report The Finance Council is an advisory council to the pastor (temporary administrator) and assists in reviewing, researching, and providing recommendations regarding financial matters of the parish. The parish budget prepared for July 2024 through June 2025 estimated $992,900 in revenue and $1,036,150 in expenses, which means we are facing a $43,250 shortfall to meet the needs identified in the budget process.
The Finance Council is also supportive of our youth ministry (MI Impact) and while their budget was increased from $1,500 to $2,000 in this year’s budget — a rejuvenated youth ministry is seeking to increase their budget this year from $2,000 to $21,934 to actively engage our youth through more activities and build a solid Catholic foundation for their lives. Additionally, MI Impact is seeking further funding to support youth interested in attending World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea, which is estimated at an additional $44,000.
The Finance Council is working to reduce expenses where possible (many increases are mandated by law or other obligations, but there is no excess in the operating budget) or to increase revenue through encouraging all parishioners to tithe annually or consider an increase in their tithing for the church to meet our parish and school needs. We ask our fellow parishioners to continue to share possible solutions with the Finance Council, as well as to pray for the parish and reflect on their time and talent which may assist in meeting the needs of our Mary Immaculate families and parish.
